House Named for Ms. Catherine One of the hewn timber houses at Francis Marion University is called Ms. Catherine’s house because Ms. Catherine Waiters was one of the last people to live here. She and her husband, Mr. Archie Waiters, lived here from the 1930s until the 1950s. This photo was taken many years later when they returned to visit to their old home. Photo 1984.
