Figure 115. Rim of
the basket Gregg wove the sides of the basket and when he reached the top, he put around the outside of the top a heavy strip of oak, the rim, which was not woven in. The rim was held in place by bending each of the upright strips over it and pushing about two inches of their tips down through the holes in the woven part. (Photo 1984) |
