Figure 30: Crate

This wooden crate was in the J. Eli Gregg corn barn.  It may have been used at one time to take the place of a chair.  It is possible that it came from Janie Pinkney’s house.  The writing on the top of it could help date it, if anyone ever has eyes sharp enough to read it.  (Photo 1998)
