wash pot Back in the 1930s when they both lived in the hewn-timber houses, Ms. Catherine’s mother-in-law, Tena Gregg Waiters, gave Ms. Catherine this wash pot. It probably was quite old at that time. Ms. Waiters recalled her wash days. “Had a tin tub. Rub the clothes. Wash through two waters. Put them in wash pot and let them boil. Take out and wash through three waters and hang them out."
