Figure 910. Peck measure Archie Waiters said that this was the peck measure that was used at the grist mill to measure out the portion of the corn meal that belonged to the mill as payment for grinding the corn. This mill was straight across the railroad from the store, and, each Saturday, people would come from miles around bringing their bags of corn. Phoo 1986. |
