Figure 938: African Hat and
Musical Instrument This hat was made by a little boy, about nine years old, in Bambur, Nigeria. He was so adept at making hats that he was able to make this one while he walked around in the village. The grass he was using grew everywhere, so he just picked what he needed when he needed it. The musical instrument was bought in Nigeria and is a gift from Jane Vernon to the hewn-timber cabins collection. Photo 2003. |
